Hydraulic Pressure Regulator Valve

Hydraulic unloading valve

Hydraulic pressure regulator is typically called unloading valve. There 2 main parameter on the unloading valve, there are opening pressure and closing pressure. For example, a pressure regulator is set to open if the pressure drops below 600 psi and close if the pressure above 800 psi then the valve operating pressure is 200 psi.  When the inlet pressure is below the opening pressure the fluid will enter the top of regulator to the pilot valve. If the pressure increases above the check valve cranking pressure, the fluid will crack the check valve and enter the piston chamber. If the pressure keeps increasing above the spring tension pressure, the piston will lifted up and unseat the pilot valve. In this condition the fluid will pass through the regulator to the reservoir.
