Hydraulic Sliding Spool Valve
The figure above shows a hydraulic sliding-spool valve. The piston inside the valve slides back and forth to block and release ports in the housing. This valve sometimes called as a piston type spool valve, the sliding-spool valve has a piston of which the inner areas are equal. The hydraulic oil pressure from the inlet ports acts equally on both inner piston areas in any spool position. Valve sealing is done by a machine fit between the spool and valve body or sleeve.
